Hi, I’m Tye,
I'm Tye, an Austin-based interior designer with seven years of experience in residential and renovation work. I grew up in the Midwest, which gave me an honest, grounded sense of what a home should feel like: lived in, warm, and real. That foundation has never left me, even as my design eye has grown considerably more restless.
A few years ago I took a year off to travel across multiple continents, and it changed the way I see materials. Spending time in places where texture is the whole point, rough plaster, worn wood, hand-woven fabric, deepened my appreciation for surfaces that have a story. That's what I bring back to every project: an eye trained by a lot of looking, in a lot of places.
My work tends toward spaces that feel collected rather than decorated. Layered, warm, with a little edge. I'm drawn to the moment when something old and something new find each other in a room and it just works.
If you're looking for a designer who will take your home seriously and bring genuine curiosity to every decision, I'd love to work together.
